Late July for the fashion world can be summed up in three words: Miami Swim Week. Each year, fashion designers head down to the hot city of Miami to debut their latest swimwear collections. This summer the designers showcased their upcoming 2016 Resort collections. After perusing through a multitude of fashion shows, I have pulled together a list of emerging trends you will be seeing soon! Get inspired and stay ahead of the game with looks you can start wearing now.
One Piece Swimsuits
One piece swimsuits were seen all over the runway this year. Don’t think of them as your average one piece though! The one pieces that have been shown are daring with plunging neck lines, and fun exotic prints. It looks like we will be seeing more mixes of coverage and sexy details.
Graphic Prints and Cutouts
The trend that never ends! Cut outs have been shown in dresses, shirts, and now are seen in swimsuits. Many swimsuits that look conservative, such as high waist two pieces, are now sporting cutouts. The graphic prints add an edge to these swimsuits, making them hard to say no to.
High Cut Swimsuits
Whether it is due to Miley’s onesies, or the newfound love of the 90s, the Baywatch swimsuit is back and hotter than ever! Although, some may cringe at the thought of this happening again, it is a sure trend down the runway. The one good thing about them is the fact they do lengthen legs and make you look like a supermodel!
Bohemian
The trend that has taken the fashion world by storm is starting to make its way on to the runways. Designers debuted collections featuring both one piece and bikinis with bohemian designs and patterns. Also, accompanying this trend on the runways is floral which brands have combined the two, offering a Boho chic style.
