Yesterday, I wore a halter dress from Sky to check out the new MAC Wash & Dry Collection at Nordstrom Easton Town Center. I paired this dress with a pair of heels from DSW and a few beaded bracelets.
The MAC Wash & Dry Collection is something I have been so excited to check out. It screams “summer” to me and the colorful packaging is gorgeous. When I look at it, it reminds me of beach sunsets. I love the various lipstick colors, as well as the “Monday Blues” Wash & Dry Studio Nail Lacquer. The highlight powder is also very pretty with its unique gradation of three shades in one pan, from pastel banana through fuzzy peach to mid-coral. What makes this collection different from the other MAC products is the eyeshadow. When applied with the hand, it creates a light, shimmery feel to the eyes. For a darker and more intense look, the eyeshadow can be applied with a brush.
Color swatches of the Wash & Dry Lipstick (bottom four) and the Wash & Dry Tinted Lipglass (top four). To add more color and shine to your lips, first apply the lipstick and then add the lipglass on top. I applied “Girl on Board” to “Creme d’Nude” and “Tumble Dry” to create a light, silvery shine, as shown above. “Domestic Diva” can also be applied on “Creme d’Nude” if you like a more feminine look. I applied “Laundry List” on top of “Morange” for a glowing sunset feel, as seen above. I applied “Hot / Cold” on top of “Steam and Heat” for a bold, hot pink touch, as seen in the photo.
