Early last month, I received news that I was selected to be a runway model for Fashion Week Cleveland (FWC). I was so happy as this would be my first presence on the runway. The Designer Fashion Shows for FWC is to be held on March 21, 2015.
This weekend, I went to a Model Meet & Greet for Fashion Week Cleveland, an event that included FWC models and designers who came out to Barrio Tacos & Tequilas to eat and interact with one another. It was a wonderful event that helped us form closer bonds which will be crucial for our big day. On Saturday, I went for a modeling workshop led by Corinne Grizzell, Artistic Director of FWC, whom taught us how to do a proper catwalk down the runway. We practiced our struts up and down the room as though we were a marching band in coordination. It was a very educational experience and I am sure I’ve perfected my walk now.
After the catwalk workshop, I got to meet Christian and Christopher Lett, 2 young and very friendly Fashion Designers / Stylists that I will be modeling for in FWC. Their Marketing Assistant / Stylist – Adam Willis – was with them as well. These three men are the Creators of Mud Made Est. 2014, an Urban x Street Wear clothing company from Ohio. Their collection includes street/sportswear (customized jerseys, hoodies etc.) with a touch of luxury, a style inspired by big fashion designers like the latest sporty Tommy Hilfiger 2015-2016 collection from New York Fashion Week. Overall, this weekend was a very fun and memorable experience for me and I am really looking forward to working with these wonderful designers / stylists!
