NYFW : Lacoste Fall/Winter 2015-2016

Lacoste Fall / Winter 2015-2016 - New York Fashion Week

“Did Lacoste beat America at its own sportwear game?” – Suzy Menkes from NYFW. I’ll definitely have to say “Yes!” to this. The new Lacoste Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection redefines style ideology through bringing comfortable and chic sporty pieces we are so ready to slip into and walk out the door ready to conquer the streets. I throughly enjoyed the parade of different variations of modern sports clothing, flowing dresses, bright colors and striped and checkered patterns. What made the new Lacoste collection so distinctive from the other ones showcased was the Seventies reference that look so perfect in combination with the tennis inspired outfits. The use of the nutmeg color for the array or urban chic coats and suits is the evident statement of the Seventies / retro style. Alongside the ’70s nutmeg color, the collection also features bright pops of red, electric blue, white, grey, and green which match perfectly with featuring touches of stripes and graphic patterns. Beauty wise, we are constantly reminded of the natural and simple looks with the foot-friendly shoes to flatter the sporty chic outfits presented. Overall, the new Lacoste collection was indeed unique and very chic for the modern sports girl! What are your thoughts on this new Lacoste collection?
